Soft Assurance
We were taking photos of one of the small groups of ponies when we heard rustling to our right over a small hill. After a few moments several ponies emerged to join the rest of the group. This foal stopped to look at us, unsure of what to do. His mother, who was right behind him, walked up and softly put her head over him for a moment as if to say “it’s okay, I’m here”, and they continued on. The soft reassuring presence of this foal’s mother had already caught my eye before the photo was even taken.
