Big Stretch

During our surprise trip on the third day to photograph wild Konik stallions I took the reference photo for this piece. We walked in the rain for some time looking for the group of stallions. When we finally found them, some were lying down and napping in the rain. As we got closer, they began to stand and come up to us. As this pony stood up he stretched, lifting his leg. I was able to get the shot mid movement, and I loved bringing that moment to life again with this piece.
